Best Non-Surgical Butt Lift Options

What are the best non-Surgical Butt Lift Options, and which one fits me?

Quick answer

The best non-surgical butt lift depends on what makes your butt look flat or low: soft muscle, deflated or saggy skin, or too little volume. Emsculpt builds glute muscle with magnetic pulses for a visible lift, Sculptra builds collagen over two to three injection sessions for lift and smoother skin, and hyaluronic acid filler adds volume right away but carries more risk. Injectable silicone is not FDA-approved for the butt and can kill.

Key takeaways

  • The right non-surgical butt lift depends on whether the muscle underneath is soft, the skin is deflated or saggy, or there is not enough volume.
  • Emsculpt builds glute muscle for a visible lift within one to three months of four 30-minute sessions, with no needles, and one Phoenix clinic charges $3,000 to $4,000 for the four sessions.
  • Emsculpt does not melt fat, so if fat around your hips and thighs bothers you more than a flat butt, weight loss is a separate goal.
  • Sculptra suits skin that looks deflated, saggy or dimpled, builds collagen gradually over a series of injections, and costs $3,000 to $6,500 for a full butt plan at one Tampa practice.
  • Hyaluronic acid filler gives shape right away and lasted about 16 months on average, but it takes a lot of product and can rarely cause bleeding into the lungs and death, while injectable silicone should never be used.

The best non-surgical butt lift depends on why your butt looks flat or low. The muscle underneath may be soft, the skin may be deflated or saggy, or there may not be enough volume. Each problem has a different fix.

If it's the muscle, Emsculpt uses magnetic pulses to work your glutes. In a small MRI study of Emsculpt, glute muscle grew about 13% three months after four 30-minute sessions. That makes Emsculpt the only option here where a scan measured the change. If it's the skin, Sculptra builds collagen over two to three injection sessions for lift and smoother skin. Hyaluronic acid filler adds volume right away but carries more risk. Injectable silicone is not FDA-approved for this, and it can kill.

Which non-surgical butt lift fits what bothers me?

Option What it changes Sessions Typical US price How long results were tracked Main risk
Emsculpt Builds glute muscle Four 30-minute sessions $3,000 to $4,000 for four buttock sessions of Emsculpt NEO at one Phoenix clinic 3 months in the MRI study No side effects reported in either study
Sculptra Builds collagen for lift, skin quality and volume 2 to 4 sessions about 6 to 8 weeks apart in one expert technique (2 to 3 sessions 4 to 6 weeks apart at a Tampa clinic) $3,000 to $6,500 for a full butt plan, at $800 to $1,000 per vial (Tampa practice) Described as lasting more than two years Bruising, swelling and redness are most common. Nodules and granulomas (lumps under the skin) are listed on the label
Radiesse Adds volume and builds collagen Three monthly sessions for one patient in a small case series $1,500 to $3,500 (Tampa practice) 180 days for one patient in the case series The high product count raises cost and the risk of injection complications
Hyaluronic acid filler Adds volume right away Not reported Not reported Lasted about 16 months on average (systematic review) Bruising, swelling, gel shifting. Rarely, bleeding into the lungs and death

If your muscle looks flat or low, look at Emsculpt. If your skin looks deflated or dimpled, look at Sculptra. If you want shape right away, look at filler.

Does Emsculpt really lift your butt?

Yes. In a small MRI study, glute muscle grew about 11% one month after four 30-minute sessions and about 13% at three months. The growth was largest in the upper butt, and photos showed visible lift.

A larger study of 75 people aged 22 to 59 found the same kind of result. Everyone said their butt felt more lifted and toned right after the fourth session. The result held at the one-month check, and nobody reported side effects. There are no needles involved.

Emsculpt builds muscle. It does not melt fat. Butt fat barely changed in the MRI study, and weight stayed the same in the larger study. The lift comes from the muscle underneath. Both studies followed people for only one to three months.

Expect to pay $750 to $1,000 per buttock session, or $3,000 to $4,000 for four, at one Phoenix clinic. That clinic prices Emsculpt NEO, the newer version of the device. Maintenance visits run about $600 to $900 each.

If fat around your hips and thighs bothers you more than a flat butt, a muscle machine is the wrong tool. Weight loss is a separate goal. Our clinical team can prescribe semaglutide or tirzepatide if weight loss fits your goal.

Is a Sculptra butt lift worth the money?

Sculptra makes sense if your skin looks deflated, saggy or dimpled. Sculptra is poly-L-lactic acid, made of tiny particles that prompt your body to make collagen. It first got US aesthetic approval in 2009, so injecting it in the butt is off-label. That means it's being used beyond its approved purpose.

Experienced Brazilian injectors describe gains in skin quality, lift and volume. Those results are their own clinical observations. The injectors did not collect satisfaction or safety data, and the medical writing for the paper was funded by Sculptra's maker, Galderma. Several authors work for or consult for the company.

You won't see the change walking out, because the collagen builds over the series. Budget for the whole series rather than one visit. One Tampa practice quotes $3,000 to $6,500 total, at $800 to $1,000 a vial. Get the vial count in writing. The same practice puts a surgical BBL in Tampa at $8,000 to $14,000.

What about filler for instant butt volume?

Hyaluronic acid filler gives you shape right away. In a review of 10 studies and 168 patients, most studies found patients more satisfied afterward. It takes a lot of product: about 207 mL on average across studies. The effect lasted about 16 months.

Most problems were minor, such as bruising, redness, swelling or gel shifting out of place. The same review also found that butt filler can cause serious complications, including bleeding into the lungs and death. Ask your injector how they avoid the large blood vessels in this area.

Radiesse (calcium hydroxylapatite) adds volume and builds collagen. Its butt evidence is a case series of seven people (six women and one man), and all of them were highly satisfied. One patient needed 18 syringes over three monthly sessions. The authors warn that the high product count raises both the cost and the risk of injection complications, so a low quote may not cover your whole series.

Which butt injections should I never get?

Never get injectable silicone. The FDA says injectable silicone is not approved for body contouring. It can travel through the body and cause a blocked blood vessel, stroke, infection, permanent disfigurement or death. These problems can show up right away or years later.

Watch for these red flags:

  • a cheap butt injection in a home or hotel
  • an injector who is not licensed
  • someone who calls their product an FDA-approved filler without naming it

Women have been injected with silicone after being told it was an FDA-approved filler.

If you have had butt injections and get chest pain, trouble breathing or signs of stroke, get emergency care right away.

If you want your jeans to fit and your whole shape to look leaner and tighter around the lift, take the quiz. Our clinical team can then see whether a weight loss plan with semaglutide or tirzepatide fits your goal.

FAQ

How many vials of Sculptra do you need for your butt?

Most Sculptra butt lifts use 4 to 8 vials per session, according to one Tampa practice, or about 8 to 20 vials across the whole series. Brazilian injectors describing their own technique use 1 to 2 vials per side per session over 2 to 4 sessions, and 2 or more per side when the goal is extra volume. At $800 to $1,000 per vial in Tampa, the vial count sets the price, so get the number in writing.

How long do Emsculpt butt results last?

Emsculpt results have only been tracked for one to three months. In a group of 75 people, the lifted and toned feel held at the one-month check, and scans in a smaller group still showed bigger glute muscle at three months. One Phoenix clinic offers maintenance visits for about $600 to $900 each.

Does Emsculpt hurt?

Emsculpt is described as comfortable. People who had their glutes scanned before and after treatment said the sessions felt comfortable, and no side effects were reported in either Emsculpt study. There are no needles, and each session takes 30 minutes.

Is a Sculptra butt lift cheaper than a BBL?

Yes, a Sculptra butt lift costs less than a surgical BBL. One Tampa practice quotes $3,000 to $6,500 for a full Sculptra butt plan and $8,000 to $14,000 for a surgical BBL. Sculptra results last about two years, and the same practice prices maintenance sessions of 1 to 2 vials at $800 to $1,500, so budget for those too.
